"I have developed a new series of oil paintings based on the elegant tree shapes found in the paddocks of our South West wine region and also the bold sculptural shapes of Rottnest Island trees with their deep summer shadows. I try to paint the changing light of the day - showing the colours reflecting off the trees, a moon, a star, a dam or a cloud".
